Blogging gives people the opportunity to easily make their voices heard on the Internet, but with its convenience and influence inevitably come issues of ethics. In this section, we will examine multi-faceted angles on the pros and cons of blogs as a new information medium. These issues will be discussed in a format quite suited to the topic at hand: the blog entry dialog. (Please keep in mind that all the authors are purely fictional and are only used as a means of conveying some of the main conventional arguments.)

blogging bias - blogs generally present information with the author's personal bias. Is this advantageous or detrimental to readers?
rumors and gossip - should blogs be allowed to post unsubstantiated information?
hoaxes - what are the consequences of blog hoaxes and what do they say about society?
the effect of blogs on accuracy in mainstream media - an interesting side point that blogs may force traditional media sources to be more accurate
