Main Issues
- Customes' right to expect that their software works properly
- Difficulty of Programming
- Difficuly of Catching Bugs In Longer Programs
- Methods Used to Better Ensure Programs Contain Fewer Bugs
Abstract:
Bugs infest nearly all computer programs. Although more and more people's lives and money depend on software, nobody can write programs that are guaranteed to
be error-free. And few working programmers use available methods that can reduce the chance of error. Some day soon they will have to learn the new science of software engineering, which can include program formula specification methods such as Larch.
