Fun

When I need a break from being a PhD, I enjoy playing piano, taking photos, running, and cooking.

Piano

Music has always been an integral part of my life. During high school, I formed Vivace, a group of young classical musicians that performed for the elderly to share our love of music.

Now that I don't participate in competitions anymore, I enjoy just sightreading through my old music books. I would love to perform again when the opportunity arises!

Photography

As a visual person, I enjoy observing the symmetry, assymetry, lines, colors, and contrast around me. Photography gives me a way to capture and remember those fleeting moments of natural beauty.

At the beginning of COVID-19, I had the honor of being the photographer for my labmate's socially distanced wedding!

Running

I used to sprint in high school, but recently I decided I wanted to go for the other distance extreme—the marathon. Progress has been... slow.

Cooking (and eating)
