Hello, I’m Jiaao Chen!
I am a fifth-year Ph.D. student in the School of Interactive Computing at Georgia Tech. My advisor is Prof. Diyi Yang. I am interested in Natural Language Processing and Machine Learning. Currently, I am also a visiting student researcher at Stanford University. Before coming to Georgia Tech, I obtained my bachelor’s degree from Zhejiang University.
My research focuses on developing Efficient and Adaptive Machine Learning for NLP. I am interested in and have been working on the following topics:
- Improving Data Efficiency such as Data Augmentation and Semi-supervised Learning
- Incorporating Linguistic Structures
- Improving Training Efficiency such as Parameter-efficient Fine-tuning, Continual Learning and Efficient Machine Unlearning
- Improving Generalization and Compositional Abilities of LLMs
