Censored Web Content in the E.U.

Currently, internet providers in Sweden and Denmark are blocking sites with child pornography and Google Germany blocks Nazi content. Many other types of content have been discussed as potential problems and are being pushed by political leaders for censorship, such as that which might be used in terrorist attacks and all racist content. The censorship of terrorist content comes after the London bombings of July 2005 and would specifically attack sites that give information on how to make bombs. Although not internet content, many violent video games are censored in Europe, similar to the versions released in Japan, which reflect much of the content Europe may be working towards censoring. It has been difficult for Europe, as with any region, to outline specific content that should be censored, as sites can contain offensive content in many forms.
