The Future of the Nation State

The following site contains information about the current and possible future effects of the Internet on nation-states as we now know them. Our focus will be the effect that the growth of the internet will have on the way in which nations relate to their citizens and to each other. Specifically, this site is separated into two parts. The first is a discussion of efforts that states are presently making to regulate information on and access to the net. The second part contains scenarios based on four possible paths which nations might take in dealing with information on the net. Each of these four scenarios is presented from the perspective of three different people: a doctor, a child, and a criminal.
