BS | Technology in Society Requirements

Overview

The TIS classes are devoted to exploring issues arising from the interplay of engineering, technology, and society. Any class from the School of Engineering eligible Technology in Society courses list can be counted towards this requirement.  

Eligible Technology in Society Courses
Students are required to complete the Writing in the Major (WiM) requirement. By enrolling in either CS181W or CS182W, scholars can satisfy their WiM and TiS requirements concurrently. However, there are additional opportunities to meet the WiM requirement by taking certain Senior Project courses.
