Stanford, Computer Vision Postdoctoral Researcher

About Me

I am a Postdoctoral Researcher collaborating with Fei-Fei Li at Stanford University. My research focuses on developing new techniques for learning representations and recognition models with limited human annotations.

I received my PhD in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science from University of California, Berkeley in Summer 2016, where I was advised by Trevor Darrell and Kate Saenko, and worked closely with many members of the Berkeley Computer Vision group. My thesis focused on transferrable representation learning for visual recognition.

My undergraduate research focused on developing motion planning algorithms for Robotics in the Automation Sciences Lab at UC Berkeley with Professor Ken Goldberg. I graduated from UC Berkeley with a BS in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science in Spring 2010.

I love to get out of the lab and travel, hike, and generally just enjoy the outdoors. My favorite recent destinations have been Glacier National Park, Alaska, and the Swiss Alps.
