Current Legal Status

As of now Bitcoin is in a legal grey area. We couldn't find any laws that would explicity make Bitcoin illegal. There are many laws to suggest that as of now Bitcoins are legal. However we found that Bitcoin would be a facilitator of illicit behavior and we will discuss this further on the website.

 

Our conclusion that Bitcoin is not explicitly illegal is largely based on what has happened to other alternative currencies.
