Artificial neural networks are used very widely in processes found in every day life, from medical diagnosis equipment to speech recognition software.

Others include the CAT scanner, fMRI, Magnetoencephalography (MEG), Positron emission tomography, high-throughput genetic sequencing, brain proteomics and psychopharmaceuticals, neural modeling simulations, biological computers, and human-brain interfaces (prosthetics).
