public class FPScrollableList
extends javax.swing.JPanel

This class implements a scrolling list interactor that can be used for displaying or choosing friends. You can select individual names from the list by clicking on them. Double-clicking on a name notifies any action listeners that have been registered for this list.

public FPScrollableList()

Creates a new FPFriendList object. The list is initially empty.

clear

public void clear()

Removes all names from the list. You need to call clear before refreshing the list.

add

public void add(String name)

Adds a new name to the bottom of the list.

Parameters:

name - The name to be added

getSelectedName

public String getSelectedName()

Gets the selected name from the list. If no name is selected, the getSelectedName method returns null.

Returns:

The currently selected name (or null if no name is selected)

setActionCommand

public void setActionCommand(String command)

Sets the action command sent if this list is double-clicked.

Parameters:

command - The action command sent if this list is double-clicked

getActionCommand

public String getActionCommand()

Returns the action command sent if this list is double-clicked.

Returns:

The action command sent if this list is double-clicked

addActionListener

public void addActionListener(java.awt.event.ActionListener listener)

Adds an action listener to this list.

Parameters:

listener - Any object that implements the ActionListener interface

removeActionListener

public void removeActionListener(java.awt.event.ActionListener listener)

Removes an action listener from this list.

Parameters:

listener - The listener to remove

fireActionListeners

public void fireActionListeners()

Fires the action listeners for this list. This method is ordinarily called automatically on a mouse click but can be triggered explicitly to simulate a user action.
