Paul de La Villehuchet
Born in France and raised in France/Belgium, Paul moved to the US in 2017 to study. He was at Stanford from 2017 to 2019 and graduated with an MS in management science & engineering in December 2019. After graduation, he worked for a year and then joined Upstart in March 2021 as a Research Scientist in the Verifications team.

Axel Moyal
Born in France, Axel moved to the US in 2019 and graduated with a MS in computational mathematics at Stanford in 2021. He joined Upstart as a research scientist in the Fairness team in April 2021. Prior to Upstart, Axel interned at Facebook and worked in a macro hedge fund in London as a quantitative analyst.
