He has led research in ontology, linguistics, and formal inference, including development of the Suggested Upper Merged Ontology (SUMO) and the Sigma knowledge engineering environment. Sharing research under open licenses, in order to achieve the widest possible dissemination and technology transfer, has been a core element of his research program. He is the author of over 50 peer-reviewed academic papers and the book “Ontology: A Practical Guide.” <a href="http://www.ontologyportal.org/">http://www.ontologyportal.org</a> .<br><br><br>Akshat Mathur is a Relationship Manager – Global Academic Relations at Infosys. Akshat manages academic relations with universities partnered under InStep (the flagship international internship program at Infosys). He has travelled to various academic partners globally to participate in 100+ career fairs and information sessions and interacted with students from various academic backgrounds to recruit them for InStep internship program. He holds an MBA with a focus in Marketing from University of Canterbury, New Zealand.
