Abstract: ArtificialIntelligence is the most important technology area of our generation –impacting every one of us with early disease detection, new drug discovery,self-driving cars or automation of daily tasks. As AI models get larger, theneed for compute is growing rapidly, doubling every 3.5 months - a rate 25,000times faster than Moore’s Law. A new, bold approach to addressing AI computechallenges is needed. In this session, Andrew Feldman, founder and CEO of CerebrasSystems, will discuss the vision, architecture and challenges building thelargest and fastest AI Accelerator in the world. By coupling the Wafer ScaleEngine (WSE), the largest chip ever created, with a software stack optimizedfor AI execution, Cerebras is paving the path to multi-trillion parametermodels and unlocking the true potential of AI innovation.
Bio: Andrew is co-founder and CEO ofCerebras Systems. He is an entrepreneur dedicated to pushing the boundaries ofthe compute space. Prior to Cerebras, he co-founded and was CEO of SeaMicro, apioneer of energy efficient, high bandwidth microservers. SeaMicro was acquiredby AMD in 2012 for $357M. Andrew holds a BA and an MBA from StanfordUniversity.
