Hello, my name is Anant Bhardwaj. I am a Masters student in the Department of Computer Science at Stanford University, with HCI as my primary specialization. I graduated from Pune University in 2007 with a Bachelor of Engineering degree in Computer Science. My research interests focus on the topics related to Human Computer Interaction. Through my research, I aim to reduce the technology gap, people face in leveraging the vast amounts of information that is available today (especially online information), in their daily lives. I am currently working with Prof. Scott Klemmer and Prof. Jeff Heer at Stanford University. Please see my research page for the details. I worked for about 3 years in the industry. Prior to coming to Stanford, I worked as a Product Developer at BMC Software for their Marimba products. Last summer, I interned at Oracle. The details of my industry work is available here. I have experience in both backend systems and HCI. My expertise is in internet applications, information retrieval/web search and design of software tools for leveraging online information. I love teaching. In Winter 2012, I am serving as a course assistant for Prof. Jeff Heer's advance HCI class. In the Fall 2011, I was a CA for Prof. David Cheriton's class on OOP from Modeling and Simulation Perspective. Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with family and friends, watching movies, going on outdoor excursions, playing cricket and sleeping. I also like reading novels and poems. Long ago, I used to write poetry. You can find me on linkedin and twitter. Selected Publications
