CSID / New Students

A CSID is a unique login name and password that authenticates users to systems and services in the Computer Science Department. CSIDs are available for all CS students (declared undergraduate, Masters, PhD) to do miscellaneous computing, including

• Use Email.
• Host a Personal Web Page.
• Text editing, web browsing, etc.

This service is paid for by the department. Generally, this will grant you access to Xenon and the Pups.

You can apply for your CS ID online by visiting http://cs.stanford.edu/newstudent after we have added all of the new students into the CS Department people database. This is usually done around mid September.
